The 2014 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting!

This Year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree – almost ready for it’s big lighting ceremony tonight!

It’s that time of year again when Rockefeller Center is just buzzing with activity, filled with people setting up for tonight’s world famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! With the lineup of performers for tonight’s celebration including Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Cyndi Lauper, Mariah Carey, Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel, Pentatonix, LeAnn Rimes (just to name a few) along with the incomparable Radio City Rockettes, tonight’s performance will be sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit! You can watch the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony tonight live on NBC at 8PM EST or if you are in town, drop on by Rockefeller Center around 7PM (when the festivities begin to kick off) to celebrate with the thousands of New Yorkers and tourists alike who flock to Rockefeller Center every year, to try and get a peek at the show first hand!

However, as we all know, the real star of the show is the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree! This year’s tree is a 85 foot Norway Spruce from Danville, PA., looked all dressed up and ready for it’s big moment later tonight as I walked around Rockefeller Center earlier this morning, ! Here is a sneak peek from earlier today as camera crews, set designers, Christmas tree elves and more, were hard at work, putting the finishing touches together before tonight’s big show!
